Passport photo dimensions
Passport and ID photos use fixed print sizes. This preset sets the pixel dimensions that match them at 300 dpi, which is the standard print resolution:
- US 2 x 2 inches works out to 600 by 600 pixels at 300 dpi.
- UK and EU 35 x 45 mm works out to 413 by 531 pixels at 300 dpi.
Pick the size, then use cover so the photo fills the frame and the overflow is cropped, or fit to keep the whole photo with padding. Save as JPG, which is what most photo printers and online applications expect.
Important
ResizePad sets the pixel size only. Official passport photos also have strict rules about head size and position, a plain light background, expression, and lighting. This tool does not check those. Confirm the exact requirements with the issuing authority, frame your shot to meet them, and use this preset to get the final pixel dimensions right. If you need to reframe, crop the photo first, then apply the preset.
